2011 Community Recognition Honorees:

Honorees Left to Right:  CAROLYN STANFORD TAYLOR: Assistant State Superintendent for the Division for Learning Support: Equity and Advocacy at the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (WDPI). JONATHAN GRAMLING: Publisher and Editor in Chief of the Capital City Hues newspaper in Madison. HAYWOOD GILLIAM, MD: One of the few African-American medical doctors in the Madison Metropolitan area.  BARBARA NICHOLS, RN, DHL, MA: A registered nurse who served as the 1st African American president of the American Nurses Association, the California Nurses Association and the Wisconsin Nurses Association.  LEOTHA STANLEY: Musician, Emergency Medical Services Professional, Community Volunteer.
